"Stillness" is the epitome of my recent watercolor insights.
It embodies what it means for me to paint directly, relying fully on my instinct and intuition.
Barely any "technique" was involved in the making of this scene.
The source, by the way, is a lovely picture I took in a local forest here.
It was originally a wide scene, but I decided to give the majority of attention to this one individual tree.
This resulted in a unique vertical format I don't often paint in.
